“A couple of people in the organization have said to me they realize that 2014 is going to be when they get back, but we’re seeing the seesaw that the division has ridden. I mean, the Phillies are going to be rebuilding, and they have so much money – they have $80 million dollars tied up in four pitchers – plus another $25 million in Ryan Howard and another $16 million to Chase Utley so – they’re not going to have anywhere to go financially. The Marlins are a mess. The Braves, they just really don’t do payroll, they just don’t care. You don’t have to get up to $160 million dollars to at least have the Mets compare with most of the other teams in the division.”
