Taylor Buchholz is a free agent

According MLB.com, Taylor Buchholz has declared free agency, and will seek out opportunities with another organization.

In 23 games last season, Buchholz was 1-1 with a 3.12 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 26 innings pitched. He went on the disabled list on May 29 with tendinitis in his shoulder. He was then diagnosed with depression on July 1 and missed the remainder of the season.

Recently, Sandy Alderson told the Daily News he is unsure if Buchholz wants to pitch in 2012, but if he does, Alderson would be interested in bringing him back.
