Ruben Tejada leaves rehab game, aggravates quad

According to Ben Wagner of MILB.com, Ruben Tejada pulled himself from tonight’s game in Triple-A after aggravating his quad muscle.

“I just know his leg tightened up on him,” Terry Collins told reporters after the game. “He was afraid to run, so he took himself out of the game. So he’s probably headed back to Florida.”

Tejada was placed on the 15-day disabled list on May 7 after straining his right quadricep muscle while diving into first base against the Diamondbacks on May 6.

Collins told reporters last weekend that he hoped Tejada would be able to rejoin the Mets on Friday against the Yankees.
