Morning News: Pelfrey happy with his sinker

Yesterday, Mike Pelfrey threw two hitless innings during the Mets intra-squad game at Digital Domain Park. Pelfrey later told reporters he was pleased with the movement on his sinker, adding:

[jbox color=”gray”]”Last year, I thought I gave up way too many home runs, and I don’t think that’s me. Keep the ball in the ballpark and keep that guy on first if I want to turn the double play. I went into the offseason doing everything I could — arm angle, different grips, trying to find it. I found something I’m comfortable with and I’m pretty pleased with the movement on it.”[/jbox]
