Yesterday, Jon Niese was examined for an accelerated heart rate, and it was determined he would undergo a ablation surgery during the All-Star Break which is performed to treat heart arrhythmia.

The team announced he would undergo the procedure during the off-season and, in the meantime, he has been cleared to make his next start.
