Jenrry Mejia will join Triple-A Buffalo on Friday

During tonight’s telecast on SNY, Sandy Alderson said Jenrry Mejia will join Triple-A Buffalo tomorrow.

Alderson also said it’s possible Mejia could join the Major League bullpen later this season.

Mejia allowed four runs and five hits in five innings in the Double-A B-Mets 6-4 loss to New Britain today.

Overall, Mejia is 1-0 with a 3.79 ERA in four rehab starts between Single-A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton.

Mejia underwent Tommy John Surgery on his right elbow last May.

In a few weeks time the team will get much more healthier on defense with MCD, Moore and Boyle all coming back. My biggest concern with this team right now is that other than Stepan coming back this week I don't feel we have a full four lines. Case in point last night we had 5 players who played 10 minutes or less. The coaching staff does not have faith in these guys and my fear is that the top lines will get worn out. They have to find more balance.....just my thoughts.
