Jason Bay rides a bike, Mike Baxter still idle

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, Jason Bay rode a bike and did not have a recurrence of his concussion symptoms.

However, Rubin says Bay has not begun baseball activities yet and concludes “it seems logical to conclude that Bay would not return until after the All-Star break.”

Bay was placed on the seven-day disabled list last Saturday after sustaining a concussion while diving head first into the left field wall on June 15.

Meanwhile, Rubin says Mike Baxter has not resumed any activity since displacing his collar bone on June 1.

The Rangers have looked sloppy lately in the third...or is that just me? I think the kid played ok and the Rangers made it easier plus they were playing the Sabres. Risk Nash scores again and the Rangers get two HUGE points. We are in second behind the Isles but 3 points ahead of the Caps by two and the Pens by three. I know we have to lose once in a while but I did not like last nights loss. they will need to play a better brand of hockey when the Blue Jackets come to town. Regardless a win = 2 points I will take that. Lets Go Rangers!

At least the Rangers will play a strong defensive game -- hopefully...
