Dillon Gee is pleased with his progress this Spring
In yesterday’s 4-3 loss to the Cardinals, Dillon Gee allowed ten hits and four runs in six innings.
Gee is now 1-1 with a 3.92 ERA, allowing just three walks and striking out 15 in 20 2/3 innings over five starts this Spring.
After his outing, Gee spoke with reporters and said he felt really good while warming up in the bullpen but “lost it” in the first inning and had to battle the rest of the way. However, he’s pleased with his progress to this point in camp, saying:
[jbox color="gray"]“I’m ahead of where I was last year at this time. This is probably the best spring I’ve ever had. Most springs are kind of hit or miss, but for the most part I’ve felt a lot better this year.”[/jbox]
Gee will start the final Spring Training game against the Yankees next Wednesday in Tampa.
