Bay, Baxter heading to PSL, Francisco progressing

Terry Collins said Jason Bay will be heading to Port St. Lucie tomorrow although it isn’t clear when he will resume baseball activities, according to WFUV’s Amit Badlani.

Bay was placed on the seven-day disabled list last Saturday after sustaining a concussion while diving head first into the left field wall on June 15.

Meanwhile, according to Badlani, Collins said Mike Baxter will head to Port St. Lucie to begin rehabbing from a displaced collar bone – he has been on the disabled list since June 1.

Lastly, Frank Francisco will throw off a mound in Port St. Lucie on Saturday, and if all goes well, he will begin a rehabilitation assignment.

Francisco was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain, retroactive to June 23.
