5 Mets Game Notes for Tonight's Match-Up with Astros

The Mets are 5-2 in the first game of a series this season, including 2-1 on the road.

The Mets improved to 6-1 in one-run games with  yesterday’s 6-5 win. They are 9-1 this year in games decided by  two or fewer runs.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, yesterday was only the second win in team history in which the Mets allowed a pair of game-tying home runs in the eighth inning or later.

David Wright has a six-game hitting streak, during which he’s batting .450. He is second in MLB with a .397 batting average, trailing only Matt Kemp (.425).

The Mets have scored 45 runs with two outs this  year, the second most in the majors.
