Carlos Torres delivers

X-rays negative on Torres’ hand

Carlos Torres was struck in the hand with a line drive in the 11th inning on Monday night, but X-rays came back negative.

Torres was hit with a comebacker off the bat of B.J. Upton with two outs in the 11th, but stayed in the game and completed the inning. He earned the win after Ruben Tejada’s walkoff single in the bottom half of the inning.

Torres hand did swell up, Terry Collins said after the game. The Mets officially said he has a “right hand contusion.”

Doesn't matter. Dr. Collins probably won't use him until the "Pennant Drive."

This guy is a bulldog and a work horse. Let's hope he's ready to go sooner then later.

Big loss for the bullpen if he misses anytime.  I'm sure this will be day to day if there was swelling but we all know how with the Mets that can end up being month to month.
