What’s on Tap: Workout and wait…

The Mets completed their exhibition season Saturday losing to the Blue Jays in Montreal, after which they traveled home.

The team will hold a private workout Sunday at Citi Field.

They’ll begin their 2014 regular season on Monday when Dillon Gee takes on Stephen Strasburg and the Nationals at Citi Field at 1:10 pm ET.

@rubiconx0 Lied? This is a sports franchise.  I think they told the truth...they came right out and told us what they wanted to do. And then they weren't able to do it the way they wanted to.  So I can't call them liars.  Lying would have been pretending that Ruben and Ike were here for 15 years and then trading them over thanksgiving.

Even if they had pulled off a Davis trade we wouldn't have a stronger first baseman or shortstop.  We would still have Duda and Tejeda.
