Citi Field wide

What’s on Tap: Opening Day at Citi Field at 1:10 p.m.

The Mets open the regular season at Citi Field on Monday at 1:10 p.m. against the Nationals.

Dillon Gee gets the start for the Mets, opposed by Stephen Strasburg for Washington.

During an on-field ceremony prior to the game, the Mets will celebrate the life and legacy of Hall of Famer and broadcasting legend Ralph Kiner, who passed away in February.

The game will air on SNY, and can be heard on WOR 710 AM radio.

Strasbourg loses 1-0 despite one-hitting Mets. Tejada's solo HR provides winning margin and he replaces Wright as team captain.

The Mets have not decided on a starting lineup, because the manager of the team is not making any personnel decisions with Alderson approving.  In other words, TC is not really a full manager.  The front office gets to select the lineup for him.

Finally! I don't think I'm the only one who feels like a kid on christmas eve. I will approach this day with a smile on my face, even if TC brings me coal (EY) in my stocking! LGM!

That's rediculous. How about the pitching changes. Does the FO make those?
