What’s on Tap: Mets at Marlins, 1 pm on SNY

The Mets play the Marlins on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. in Jupiter.

Daniel Murphy missed the last few games with a calf injury, but is expected to be in the starting lineup.

Bartolo Colon will start for the Mets, Brad Hand will start for the Marlins.

The game will not be on local television, but can be heard on WOR 710 AM radio.

That's hilarious.  We all knew they wouldn't be on SNY today.  But after we all woke up and read the heading of this post, we all turned on SNY and were like what the. Instead they're playing Robert Allen's 20th win.  Ironically, in that game Keith and Ron are raving about Tejada's play.  In '12 he had the most multi-hits that year among all SS, including Jeets and other great SS.  Man is that true?  Also, he almost hit .300 all year.  In the game he was .296 in late Sept.  Damn! I almost forgot how well he played in '12 for us, the first yr Reyes was gone.  Only if he is able to revert to what he is potentially capable of.  We all have a dream right, hopefully it comes true this yr.  Lol.

You may want to update that title, so that it doesn't have me turn on SNY and see a Mets Classic. Just sayin!

Revised post brought to you by Matthew Cerrone, Lead Writer:

Mets vs. Florida Marlins first pitch at 2:10.  LHP Bartolo Colon will start for the Mets.  The game will be on SNY but not available to viewers.  SNY is channel 1 on all cable and dish providers.  I've been in touch with a number of team insiders but have no information regarding a radio broadcast.  Other notes:  RHP John Niese may take batting practice, LHP Bobby Parnell is playing golf.

Update:  The game has been snowed out.

WOR 710 is the worst station ever, where I live. I hate AM radio.

I'm pretty tired of the Marlins.  Can't we just go Catholic and just play them on Fridays?

I know. I know it's spring training, but the Mets need to win this game, or they are going to start believing they can't beat the fish.

"Mets at Marlins, 1PM on SNY."

"The game will not be on local television."

Your headline and last sentence contradict each other. Which is correct?

@dreamer3kx  But we can tune into neon-con radio (WOR) as it breaks for some baseball

@imissshea  Only Mets home games are on SNY. Since this is an away game, it wont be televised by the Mets.

@rico     If you have short wave  you can get baseball on Radio Havana.

Yeah, nothing like a blast from Radio Moscow to prepare for a ball game.

The Mets have won a couple of games so now we're gonna bash the broadcast radio station non-sports lineup? Always something to complain about on this site. How's this. . . Good thing the game isn't being streamed on the Obama Care website, otherwise no one would be able to hear it.
