Mejia has quietly been the best starter so far, on a team with 5 good starters all pitching well! A good effort today and he may go 4-0 with a sub 2.0 era in April!

Unbelievable that there was even a question if this talented young kid should be sent to the minors so Dice-K could start instead.

It's nice to have a real pitcher throwing every day.

Mets are now 13-10. People are excited, maybe bringing up one of the kids from the minors would be a smart move here to continue the momentum. Isn't the point to sell tickets??? And let's replace Tejada please.

Love watching Mejia pitch.

@hankypanky  He's got the EXACT same stats as a Pirate than he did as a Met this year. It's so weird!

@hankypanky  Unfortunately it doesn't. Just look at the negative comments on the Famiglia blog entry. They're grasping at anything they can at the moment, and TC's use of the bullpen - a long running theme of course - is still garnering lots of over the top criticism. The bile has been building up lately and it's gonna spill out over something.

Alas, you are right. I wouldn't mind their criticism but so much of it is mindless and infantile, and degrades this blog.

Did you see the post that credits The blog "blowing up" for a Collins discussing his use of Familia? The 42 people who comment regularly on TC must have his attention.

@hankypanky  Exactly. There's always room for contrary opinion on strategy, player moves, trades, etc. etc., and intelligent discussion of those topics, but instead, as you say, most of it is just juvenile temper tantrums.
