Please, please, please replace Josh Satin with Eric Campbell - both righty first basemen. Campbell "Soup" is hitting .351 with a .978 OPS in AAA and hit .304 with an .873 OPS in spring training. Satin, conversely, is hitting .125 with a .513 OPS for the Mets this year. The offense is still atrocious despite the record and the pitching being decent. The Mets had 1 hit after the 3rd inning last night (7 innings with just 1 hit!). If the Mets aren't going to spend money to bring in guys who hit above .200, then they have to be quick on the trigger to bring guys through the organization who can hit. Satin isn't getting it done and Lagares who has the highest average on the team at .314 isn't ready to play. Something needs to get done to jump-start this inconsistent offense!

The Mets will dust off last night's loss and take today's game.

Anyone watching these games can see Miami has a more dangerous lineup than the Mets. They also have very good starting pitching. We caught a big break missing Fernandez and Eovaldi. Today is a game the Mets really need to win. It's not a must win, but if they can take this series and finish this homestand 6-4, they could go on the road feeling good about themselves.

I still can't believe we lost yesterday. Most disappointing loss since opening day. The Mets is the only team in the division who lost the last game.

Feeling good about Gee today! He's probably our most trusted and consistent starter  over the past few years and he's really emerged as a solid, middle of the rotation starter. We need to get to Citizens Bank Park to wake up these bats! Off tomorrow, let's get the bullpen some rest, and end this homestand on a high note!

Coming into today's game, they are 5-4 on this home stand. 6-4 would be a decent home stand, although, considering how bad they've been at home, 5-5 is good for them as well.

@supermet  I agree. Although Satin hasn't received many AB's, I think a change for that roster spot is in order. Let's bring up Campbell and see what kind of value he can add, if any because right now Satin sure isn't getting the job done.

@lindro88  Even with Fernandez I think the Mets SP is a tick better as is their pen. Great points about today's game though.

@90wins I promise you, they'll lose a lot more. Let it go and move onto today.

If you are actually watching the standings already, you are really wasting time.

@adam  Thanks god for the off day tomorrow.  Gee is consistent like you said but rarely if ever goes deep and the 'pen has been taxed heavily on this home stand.  Let's hope to see 7 minimum from him.

@brian2740 @nolrog  A sweep in April was "needed bad"? How about if they win today it's a 6-4 home stand after losing 2 of 3 to Atlanta with St. Louis in town for 4.  Certainly any one of us would have signed up for that considering their home woes.

Mets won 12 of 19 vs the Fish in 2012. Tables were turned last year of course but always struggled?
