Just saw lineup will David Wright ever get a rest he is dragging. But Terry needs to see the replay.

So does Mejia get the unavailable tag today because he pitched 2 innings last night?

What version of Bartolo Colon will be pitching today?...the good one I hope. .  Lets Go Mets!

Going to game today with family using Fathers Day gift. Duda, CY and Tejada in lineup. Thanks Terry and Sandy, you guys never fail to disappoint.

Wilpon doesn't care about winning ball club only that he enriches his portfolio and taking care of his expensive son and wives.

Sandy Alderson: "We have no payroll constraints"

Dan La Greca: " Why does your tema have such a low payroll?"

Sandy Alderson: "well, we can increase payroll if fans show up"

Aside from how these two statements are completely contradictory, this shows just how out of touch ownership and management are with reality.

Sandy Alderson said that Terry Collins has his support.... We all remember when Omar said Willie Randolph is the manager and has our support.....And, a week later Willie was unemployed. Do I see a light coming at the end of the tunnel?

Last night's game was fun to watch. Its sad to say that it took a firing to fire up the club.. What they accomplished last night with great defensive plays and getting hits should be the norm. By the way, Abreu's play at 40 yrs old should rub off on the youngsters. Lets Go Mets!

It is nice having TdA back. Maybe he gets into a groove like he was showing some signs of doing.  Watching Recker and Centeno has been painful at times.

ONe of the reasons Wilpon owes that much is that he lives high on the hog including his son and wives. What they spend on entertainment on a week end you don't spend in ten years.

One more:

Keith, Ron, Gary, Howie, Josh - leave them alone; they are the best in the business and the only aspect of the Mets right now that's better than all the other teams.

Did anyone read today's Star Ledger? Its all there in print what Wilpon owes for the Madoff scam and to all debtors.....it comes out to $650,000,000.00.

That is a lot of money to owe but the good news is that the Mets take in $265,000,000 last year....pretty good for a lousy team. And you want to go to the stadium.....chumps!

Final thoughts on pathetic banter by Hudgens, Alderson, Wilpon:

Citifield dimensions - bogus excuse for not hitting; make adjustments

Hitters try too hard when they get booed - get over it, you're professional ballplayers

We'll spend more when the seats are filled - backwards thinking; give us a product worth paying for and consumers will buy; that's how biz works

Snarky, arrogant attitude - fine if you can back it up with results, but you haven't

The amount of fans sitting in last nights game was pleasing to my eyes.....that is the way it should be at every game.

Alderson lies

Collins lies

Wright lies

Wilpon lies

Ron Darling and Cohen don't know what they are talking about....only Keith will tell you the truth.

Nice to see our young players get a chance and come through, albeit with some growing pains. I'm ok with that.  Abreu is a pro and nice to have off the bench but he should not start 2 games in a row.  Let's let the kids play and see what we've got.

Mets have 9 blown saves already - including 2 from Valverde, and 1 from Farnsworth.

If they convert those three games, they're 26-25 and two games behind Atlanta. If they had converted 5 of those saves, they're tied for first. This is what's frustrating. Sandy has failed with the bullpen since he showed up.

Please keep C Young and Curtis Bay on the bench and play Campbell, Lagares and Den Dekker.

this is pretty incredible:

a Mets lineup that hasn’t scored more than five runs in a nine-inning game at Citi Field since April 5.

Our catching has been so disappointing.

I thought Travis was a 'hitter' when we traded for him.  He has shown nothing, and continues to be an injury magnet.

Centeno:  Only Jesse Gonder played a worse defensive role.  I thought he was a glove and arm guy?

Don't even know Reicher.  Other than that 4 hit day he might as well be batting in the pitchers' spot.

James T. O'Brien

So why is Eric Campbell sitting on the bench again today?  Do we need a "Free Campbell" campaign so our manager plays the guys who are "hot" and give us the best chance of winning?  Look back over the past 5 days and see just how few at-bats Campbell has gotten.

To the fans who are going to the game today, please refrain from booing. Apparently it bothers our girls. I mean boys.

@MetsFan1962  Probably not. Willie's 2008 team had expectations that this team does not have. You'd probably have to have another month like this one before Terry gets the heave ho.

@Mike Garrison You do realize, they've won games where they have blown saves, and a team can have multiple blown saves in the same games which we've done.

You're right on the pen of course just a bit off on the analysis.

72tilltc

@Mike Garrison Take into account all the dumb moves by Terry now many of those dumb moves overlap the blown saves. But the point is good management doesn't win games but bad management  loses games. So to all those who say "no one could win with these players" one needs to look at individual games we lose as opposed to looking at 162 games. It is one at a time.

That is amazing. Should be an asterisk on that game as well as it took an Ike Davis grand slam to get to 6 runs. They had 2 going into the 9th.

@Mark Phelan  Give d'Arnaud the rest of the year too see what he's all about. If he continues to disappoint, at least Plawecki is not far behind. His injuries over the years are a concern, but I don't think I'd lump the concussion in with the rest of the injuries.

@James T. O'Brien    I can't agree with you more. I've been complaining about this since last Friday. Don't worry. TC will put Campbell in the lineup now that Campbell has cooled off. That's TC's M.O. Play the rookies after a good week of benching.

metsjetsdu
metsjetsdu

@Pete Brilvitch @MetsFan1962 not trying to be a wise guy but another month like this for TC is just his average month. He has consistently lost, while we know he doesn't have the most talent, he still manages to lose at an alarming rate consistently.

Mike Garrison
Mike Garrison

@BringBackDaveTelghe @Mike Garrison yeah you're right. I was blinded by frustration and didn't think about it for a second. So, they Lost 2 of the 3 games in which valverde and farnsworth blew a save.  And as a team they've only one won game in which they blew a save.  And they only blew a more than one save in a game - one time this season. So instead of a 9 game impact, it's a 7 game impact.

Still it's been bad, and Valverde and Farnsworth were a major reason. Excited to see Black in there for the rest of the season.

@Pete Brilvitch @Mark Phelan  Plawecki is killing it in Binghamton but the injuries that d'Arnaud suffered were not because he did anything wrong. I do believe he was brought up a year too early and he really needed to make up the time he lost because of the injuries.  I really have to give the kid more time because a lot of scouts thought what he would become for reasons and he was traded  for 2 Cy young winners.  I do not think the scouts were just totally fooled.  They saw something in d'Arnaud and it just was not 1 scout either.

Pete Brilvitch
Pete Brilvitch

@metsjetsdu @Pete Brilvitch @MetsFan1962  I'm not really a Terry supporter, but calling it an average month isn't really fair. The problem in the Terry era is that there's been at least one of these months (if not more) every season. If June is a carbon copy of May, I think his time will come to an end.
