In case you missed it…

Last night at Citi Field, Bartolo Colon tossed eight brilliant innings and the Mets bats erupted during a 10-1 win over the A’s >> Read more at MetsBlog, ESPN, MLB.com, Newsday, New York Post and Daily News

Travis d’Arnaud was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas before Tuesday’s game, he hit seventh in the lineup and stroked a three-run homer.

To clear room on the roster for d’Arnaud, C Taylor Teagarden was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.

Dillon Gee pitched two scoreless innings in his first rehab game since landing on the disabled list May 11. Gee is expected to make two more rehab starts, and rejoin the Mets in a little over two weeks.

C Kevin Plawecki was promoted from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Plawecki and Noah Syndergaard will represent the Mets at this year’s All-Star Futures Game, which takes place the Sunday before the All-Star Game in Minnesota.

First base coach Tom Goodwin left the team to tend to a family matter. Bob Geren will temporarily replace Goodwin at first base, while Guy Conti will serve as the bench coach.

2 OTs:  1.  Jeter looks old.  I don't remember the last time he LOOKED like he was costing the yanks games but he did yesterday.

2.  Adrian Beltre....HOFer?  GGer with a relatively quiet 2500 hits....hmmmm

I seem to remember Jason Bay going thru very hard times with the Mets and all of a sudden having a monster game like CY did last night. It didn't take Bay long to fall back into his old ways. Just sayin.

I wonder if CY talked to the A's before the game and asked for a "couple of cookies" so he could hang on with the Mets.

The Mets have two high scoring wins in a row. It'll be a day of posts filled with unrealistic expectations and absurd trade ideas.

I just kept thinking about the guy who yesterday called CY's 2 HRs. I guess it was Tarheel 11. Buddy, you should go to Vegas or AC.  Take me with ya! :)

Tarheel11 was right on the money talking about CY yesterday.

"You watch, two HR's tonight! And then the saga continues!"

That will buy him another month at least.

@C.K. Dexter Haven Jeter didn't just LOOK like he cost the Yankees the game, he DID cost the Yankees the game.

@Bob Burket I don't know if that is true or not, but he better hit more home runs tonight. Sandy promised 90 wins and I am still expecting those 90 wins.

@Pete Brilvitch lol. Yep, now kicking myself for even saying that. Because you're right now they will hold onto him for another month and he'll go 0 for his next 30. Had to open my big mouth!

@Wayno Why you gotta disparage the guy about his weight?

@darkknight CC is fat too. I don't see what is the problem with a pitcher being fat. Pitchers don't have to run and ff sake, big papa is even heavier than Colon.
