Travis d’Arnaud was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas before Tuesday’s game, he hit seventh in the lineup and stroked a three-run homer.
To clear room on the roster for d’Arnaud, C Taylor Teagarden was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
Dillon Gee pitched two scoreless innings in his first rehab game since landing on the disabled list May 11. Gee is expected to make two more rehab starts, and rejoin the Mets in a little over two weeks.
C Kevin Plawecki was promoted from Double-A Binghamton to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Plawecki and Noah Syndergaard will represent the Mets at this year’s All-Star Futures Game, which takes place the Sunday before the All-Star Game in Minnesota.
First base coach Tom Goodwin left the team to tend to a family matter. Bob Geren will temporarily replace Goodwin at first base, while Guy Conti will serve as the bench coach.
