if the mets can somehow get hot now they could still get the 2nd wildcard birth

I know people are getting on Terry Collins, rightfully so, for leaving Torres in to bat last night.

But let's also give him credit where credit is due for starting Kirk and for leaving in deGrom to pitch the 6th

I will sleep better tonight knowing all this stuff!

Like to see Terry's reaction to DW's play last night. If that was one of us the boss would be up one side and down the other .

Forget Stanton, use your head Mets fans. Here are the players for 2015:

1st base...Duda

2nd "....Herrara

3rd ".....Wright

S/S......Flores

RF......Granderson

M.......Lagares

LF......d'Arnaud

Cat....Pwelecki (what ever his name)

Payroll........$78,000,000.00.........Wilpon wins .... fans lose.

I think hoping Miami trades Stanton to us is way to optimistic. But maybe we can pry Yelich away from them

The Mets can't make any trades for any new bats for next year until the Marlins decide what to do about Stanton. He could be the next Mike Piazza, or Gary Carter move for this team.

Anyone know whether deGrom will pitch Monday or Tuesday? His fifth day it's Monday, but wouldn't surprise me, given their off day, if they kept the rotation in order and pushed him back a day. Anyone have any idea?

Torres was left in because we had the lead and there were no more righties with experience who could relieve.

so who are we trading Murphy for? And d-Arnaud is not moving to LF

Look Zeus that your probably more intelligent than me I'll grant you. But does't it make sense that by improving the team he sells more tickets and thus has an even bigger profit margin

I would love to be able to make a substantial wager that u are wrong

Can't see Miami dealing him to a team in it's own division, I know they did it before, but Stanton is probably the dominant player of the era.

@Jack Butler I am willing to bet in the OP's mind, any trades that happen will only net us prospects, not any major league talent that would have to be paid for.

@matmil All knowing, I havent been wrong this year from the  beginning of April......read my posts.

I forgot one thing......Terry Collins will be  back next year.

Probably wouldn't, but you have to at least give it their best shot, meaning nobody is untouchable.

Your forcing me to head for the sacrificial altar and volunteer myself.

I've noticed that most people who coment saying they have never been wrong usually complain about things after the fact

@borsh1313 You have to understand Wilpon's theory of baseball especially when he found out that four or five teams are making tons of money with a small payroll, he wants to be in that league. He knows that you don't have to fill the stands to make money, if the Mets seat 20k to 25k he will make a good profit.

@greekgod @Pete Brilvitch  It will give me nightmares. The thought of d'Arnaud in LF is giving me Todd Hundley flashbacks.
