Collins should be fired for bringing in Valverde except for mop up work.  Glad he is gone.  Familia looked good and gets one batter   Double switch him or even let him bat   The same with Hudgens  Not a single batter improved under his reign.

Alderson needs to go too    Both Youngs will never be consistent. One is a pinch runner and then  $7million wasted for that athletic looking man who cannot hit.  Duda is a waste  The least clutch hitter I have ever seen. Abreu is a pinch hitter or a DH.  They harass Harvey and he will bolt out of here as soon as he is eligible to leave.    I want to root for this team but it is agonizing to watch them.

It is about time Valverde and Hudgens were given their walking papers..  Too bad Collins, colon, duda and both Youngs didn't get them as well.

2016 is the year...Hopefully team will have been sold.....Sandy will be taking tokens on GSP. T.C. will be scout in Williamsport . Noah will be back from Tommy John surgery. Arguably the worst gm/manager combo in Mets history...

if t oday doesn't prove that Collins needs to go nothing well. The first needed to double switch so that familia could pitch more than one bAtter,he needed to get a defense is outfielder in for Abreu. He should have went withFlorez before velvety and if he had his heart I'm bringing that moron in, then at least have someone warming up. I hope this is it and wAllyhe is here tomorrow

I am all for having Veterans on teams but not when they are AARP eligible.

I would much rather see DenDekker Playing than Abreu today.  If he is up here use him.  Abreu is here to pinch hit.  He is slow as molasses out in the large  right field of Citi .

Actually I would like to see Grandy in right field where he usually plays and DenDekker in left.

Vic, we hardly knew ye.'  The problem is not whether Ike was better than Lucas or vice-versa. They were both given tons of chances and never really produced. After three years it might be time to cut-bait on Duda. Who knows what kind of player Campbell can be? Maybe you platoon him and Murphy at 1B. Or just stick him at 2B for a month or so. People diss Flores' glove all the time but Murph has cost us at least two games with his lethal glove by my count.

Ike Davis is now batting .285/Duda .228 I don't think many Mets fans are surprised here. I would rather see DenDecker play over CY but with over 7M invested in CY, I don't see that happening right away.

Happy Memorial Day.

Like to see Campbell get the starting job in outfield right now with Chris young being sent for assignment to Vegas that would be best for team right now like I said. Zachary Lutz should get the nod to replace Eric Young immediately. Let's give Wright those days off against pitchers he don't hit well against. This I believe also would help In Wright's power numbers immensely! Every time he ever got a couple of days off or was on D/L for his concussion he came back twice as strong. All I'm saying is with some days off with certain players the starters will be probably healthier through the seasons.. Come on Terry make these great moves. Not Matt Den Deckker just yet. Please!!! We as Mets Fans can taste victorys when you continue to make the right callups! We want a playoff team right now! Sandy has to pull the trigger on a couple of trades to help A the bullpen in the nearest future also, make a A-Plus deal for a nice bat to go in the outfield with Legares in Center + Grandy in right and Cpbell and Abreu Lutz Dykstra as our top 4 replacements out of the dugout!! Lets Go Met's!!!

Bill Madden's column today is crystal clear. I especially like the "Trader Jack" McKeon advice. If they don't produce, get rid of them and move on. Hoping they will improve by playing hurts the team.

Chris Young and Lucas Duda are not bad guys. They just aren't good ballplayers. TC can let go of the "slump" for Duda. Look at his numbers. Lucas and Chris are what you see, nothing more.

@stage52 The entire coaching staff needs to go, starting with the manager and that awful pitching coach

@mustang66 absolutely 100% right on. I was saying the same thing during the game. Why take Familia out after just one batter and the guy is on a roll. Only TC and his inept brain.

@stage52  There is no way to please everyone, My good.. abreu is faster than many in this team.

plus he is a major league bat.

@zingzangzo  Lutz is more of an infielder Than DenDekker but I know Lutz has been hitting the ball. I think the replacement  of EY was more about replacing an outfielder.

@Jerry Colfer Excellent point. How long did we wait for Jason Bay to come along? How many false starts? Keeping non-productive players on the roster amounts to nothing more than throwing good money after bad.

@Doug Santos. Thanks for the comments, glad you could read through the gibberish. Hard to text when frustrated. Have a great night
