Why does Flores bat 8th.How can we give him a fair shot to show what he can do!

We need a 64' Phillies collapse. They were 6.5 up with only 12 games to play! Or the Mets need to reverse their 07'-08' fortunes.

No more Chief Wahoo. REALLY?  ENOUGH WITH THE PC CRAP. INDIANS, REDSKINS, WHATS NEXT THE BRAVES. WHAT ABOUT THE FLORIDA SEMINOLES? These team names have been fine since the beginning of time. Who really gives a dukee  what some injins think anyway? They probably aren't even sports fans! SMH

Alderson has decisions to make. Do any of them include spending money or bringing in players that can produce a playoff team? As for Collins. There is no way he should be brought back based on the last several years.

I think we need to bring back pitchers like Brant Rustich and Scott Moviel.....LOL!

Internal debate on TC?  I'd love to know who in the room wants him to stick around.

Just read about the internal debate going on about Terry Collins future . That is a step in the right direction. let's see his lineups and strategy when he thinks his job is on the line. I have no problem with his career coming down to what he does over these last 25 games, like to see how he reacts when the heat is on. Applying pressure now will give us some indication of how he might react in a pennant race.

I'm thinking give him these last 25 games to keep his job. If he gets them to 500 he comes back.

@Tarheel11 Eh....I don't think very much of it.  Blaming the Wilpons for being victims of a Ponzi scheme...and saying they should lose a team over that?  Just like everyone else, I'm not Wilpon fans at all, but think about it from their perspective.  You're approached by one of the more powerful financial people in America promising a 20% return on your money...this isn't just some guy on the street doing this...

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to find this out. Like Louie in Casablanca I 'll take my winnings with a sly smile on my face. Here's another little tidbit to stoke the fire. When Citifield was being built the Contractor who got the bid to drive the piles there was a convicted felon who had been caught years before shorting the piles on a bridge on the New York State Thruway. In order to save a few bucks the powers that be allowed him the contract because he came in a few dollars less than the competition. He did this by continuously cheating unions on their contracts. So next time your sitting in Citifield you'll know that the reason it may be leaning over just a bit was to save Freddy and Jeff a few bucks.

@matmil If you're judging TC on the next 25 meaningless games you're crazy.  He shouldn't be brought back, he never coaxes anything unexpected from all the bad teams he has, is an utter clown with his strategic moves, etc, etc.

I think it all has something to do with Freddy growing up in Brooklyn in the age of Lucky Luciano

@matmil  I kind of miss those days of sitting in the Shea rafters and feeling them rock back and forth a bit when things got exciting.

@matmil I went to an Amway meeting once. ONCE. They had free drinks and cookies.

@mrgee @matmil Yeah but try that in Citi  and be prepared for anything. Luckily they have been so bad they couldn't stir up a 2 year old. But the kind of jams we used to pull at Shea is going to worry me here.

@matmil  Well, you are a Mets fan, so by definition...
