Fella's, winning series is not good enough anymore. They have to sweep some series to get back in things. Winning series was fine in April and May.

Offense was silent because no matter the recent up turn, the lineup isn't very good. They need a clutch power bat, (in the new "dead ball era" clutch is more important than power).

I was hot for Castro until I heard that Keith Hernandez wants no part of him on the Mets. I was interested when I heard someone mention not going after Castro, but go after Baez their AAA shortstop instead, he had great numbers last year and good power numbers this year.

I just hope they do something to help the offense, just to give the pitching some hope that they don't to shut out every team every outing to get a win.

Ill be happy if we win the first 2 out of 3

Mets will take 2 of 3 from Marlins. I will be at game Sunday. Did anyone watch the battle of the broadcasters. I thought the TV guys would win and did. Tough format of questions with everything being at a fast pace.

Wilmer Flores at it again. Last night he was 3-5 with another HR and 5 RBI. We could certainly use that kind of production.

frustrating loss last nite, sick of losing to trash aaron harang.  Gotta bounce back and take at least 2 from Florida if we have any designs on getting back in this thing

The Yankees need itching help. Anyone have any ideas on who the Mets can get in return in a trade?

The real Mets showed up, unfortunately. Would have been nice to sweep the Braves.

What are the chances the Mets win the series against  the Marlins? I say no chance

Anybody find out why TC batted CY for EY last night?  It didn't seem to make any sense.

Flores was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI last night, the stats you gave were for Bransdon Allen.

@Doubleday Would have been great to have him last night, but obviously having Tejada, and Chris Young PH'ing, is much better...

No Tejada is Terry's guy and is on a major hot streak! Got the average over .240 now!

Their system is pretty weak outside of catcher.  I don't see a match there.

@hankypanky We can send them a box of Curel for their itching problem. Maybe get some Aleve back. Other than that and not knowing a ton about their farm system (because I don't care), what about Aaron Judge? Looks like he has some power and is an OFer. According to the report I'm reading, he's drawn comparisons to Dave Winfield and Giancarlo Stanton.

@Kid Met  Don't know what the song is, but it probably is caused by either too little or too much medication.

@Andrew Fraraccio no chance is right. This is the 4th time this year Mets have won 4/5 or 5/6... then they immeidtaely follow that up with a week or two of terrible play - because that;s what bad teams do.

How many times are some people going to keep putting their hand in the fire before they realize it burns?

Chris Young has had success versus Kimbrel.

@upstaphan Tejada has actually played pretty well of late and is playing very well in the field.  You cant have flores at short, up the middle with flores and murph gives us worse middle-if defense than some high school teams

Assuming that the Mets keep Wheeler and deGrom, the Yankees may insist on Gee. Alderson has outfielders cluttering up the system, though. Except for some mythological Big Bat, I can't imagine who would fit the Mets needs.

Doubleday

THIS is how the Mets try to make up for badmouthing Tejada all last winter? Disturbing. Very disturbing. Who writes a jingle about a light hitting SS?

Not when they've put themselves into this hole if you're hoping for a comeback.

@hankypanky Yankees really arent in a position to "insist" on anything.  Gee may be our most valuable asset in terms of production, non-prohibitive contract, and team control.  If Yanks want him id say conversation starts with Gardner and Yanks paying at least 80 percent of the ridiculous contract they gave him

mets74

@hankypanky Yeah, there's really nothing else in their farm system that stands out.

They don't have much to give back, it would be foolish to trade any of our starters
