12-10 record notwithstanding, this is not great timing for something like this, with d'Arnaud still struggling at the plate, the Mets pitchers hitting 0-for-Winfrey, and DW taking long loopy swings resulting in the occasion bloop/dunk hit otherwise Ks and weak groundballs.

There are too many thoughts running through my head over this, and frankly there are all ruining MY golf swing.

Travis d'Arnaud has other hitting problems that are more important...

@mrgee  True, but seems stupid to post a story like this. What's the point?

@Bob G @mrgee  Gives fans a chance to see a different side of the athletes?

@mrgee @Bob G  I'd rather they play cards and hit .260 than play golf and hit .200.

@Bob G @mrgee  Well, it sure beats a story about the Mets playing cards in the clubhouse…

@mrgee @Bob G  The fact that baseball players also play some golf is hardly a news flash. The fact that the teams batting average is about .200 is obviously going to bring abusive comments from frustrated fans. Let's get the Mets to properly hit the right white ball. After a playoff run, then the human interest stories will be of interest.
