we guess this is the new normal for the mets...a catcher that hits 200 and is barely adequate behind the plate..we saw it last season, as well as in spring training. we realize we don't want to make sandy alderson look bad..but its too late for that..

I was in the beer line, in Anaheim, talking to the guy next to me. He asked me my opinion of the 1B situation, so I gave an honest assessment, including the fact that Satin seemed to be an adequate utility guy, but not a starter. He smiled, and replied "I'm Josh Satin's Dad".   LOL moment, for sure !

Maybe they both will disappear while there.....no great loss. Satin is a powderpuff, and d'ArNOT can't hit to save his life

Too many West Coast types on this East Coast team. Satin should of been demoted when Q was designated.

I'd be happy if the Mets triple A was there and they both stayed.  Framing pitches well does not make a major league catching career.

@Which One's Pink  indeed...and it's embarrassing to see our quality announcers stoop to that level...just call it as we see it...this catcher DOES NOT BELONG IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES.

@Which One's Pink  Chill out with the bashing TDA. If he's still hitting like this in July/August, then I'd be concerned. Catchers historically take a full year in The Show to adjust. I know that I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. It's obvious he has talent beyond framing pitches.

@Joe Wenzel He was a great guy - from Chicago, originally (the father). We spent most of the time talking about the '69 Cubs vs. Mets. My very first game was at Shea, July 8, 1969, Jerry Koosman vs Ferguson Jenkins. What a way to be introduced to MLB !

@Joe Wenzel  Yep, he should have spent less time on comedy and more time teaching his son to hit...
