Mets top-rated pitching prospect Noah Syndergaard is 6-1 with a 3.00 ERA, with 94 strike outs in 54 innings, in his 11 starts for Double-A Binghamton this season.
He is expected to finish his season in Double-A, pitching no more than five innings per start, he recently told Dave Caldwell of the Wall Street Journal.
Syndergaard was recently ranked No. 14 on MLB.com’s mid-season Top 100 Prospects List.
“His combination of stuff, pitchability and aggressiveness on the mound point to a possible future as a frontline starter,”MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo wrote in the report.
