Just watched the condensed game on mlb.tv...With that warning track shot today, I count 4 shots so far that Granderson has hit that IMO would've been homers at the NEW yankee bandbox.  I stand by my thought:  He's gonna get 24/25 this year, but 18 are gonna be on the road.  CF and RCF (where he hits 'em) are too big for him at Citi.  BUT with the way he's swinging right now.....a series in CBP might be just what the doctor order.  Gee looked good.  His change was killing them today.

My only concern....

CY hits for THAT kind of power (wow!) and EY has been just about all you want in a leadoff guy to this point....and Lagares is due to come off the DL in 4 days. He'll obviously stay with the big club, but his role is a little less obvious.

David Wright today hit his 4th extra base hit in 25 games, his 4th. His power has steadily been diminishing over the last 3 years. He is becoming a singles hitter with good BA and OBP. If this continues, we should start to think about moving him up in the batting order.

Ron Darling is getting too fat! Not looking good for a tv sports analysist.

So this puts off the mystery of why the mets have been so bad at home for a while...

Meanwhile...did Alderson say they're capable  of winning 90 because he understands baseball better than the Wilpons understand it...or because he "understands" baseball better than the Wilpons "understand" it, with another wild speculation being if the Wilpons didn't leak his 90 win comment in order to overly pressure the met gm, for whatever reasons, as it kind of looks like now, the mets aren't too far really being something big soon.

Regardless, I like the winning.

@eric88  This is his 11th season.  He's played 7 full seasons (535 ABs or better)....ONCE has he not gotten at least 60 XBH.  And that was 5 seasons ago in his first season in New Ebbets field which, as has been widely reported, got into his head....and everyone else's.

We get it....you and jimmy from da bronx don't like Wright.  anything else you got?  subject is gettin kinda tired.

@greekgod  Well, as I always say, I used to have a body to die for.  Now I look in the mirror and I want to kill myself.

@ifti99  I think mets fans should really try to turn out for this team if the winning is there, anti-Wilpons feelings aside. I'm not gonna go into every reason why because there's quite a range, but seems like the fans should get into it at the park if they can..

@greekgod @ifti99  The St. Louis Cardinals played in the WS last year without a 30/100 player.

@90wins @cmetsfan I think what he's trying to say is that the "Baseball is too expensive" excuse isn't a good one.  And I agree.  Look at the "Family Pack" the Mets are offering.  $24 gets you a LF Landing seat (300 Sections), a Hotdog/Burger, Fries, and a drink.  Even with the ridiculous $22 parking fee, you can take a family of 4 to a Mets game for under $120.  If $30 per person for a ballgame, food, and parking is too much for you, then yes a ballgame is too expensive for you.  Maybe pack your own lunch and buy the cheap seats off stubhub.  The days of $7 back row Lodge seats at Shea are over.  It's just the nature of the beast.  Everything is more expensive than it was "when we were kids".

Compare it to a movie.  Most theatres charge at least 10 or 11 bucks for a ticket.  And if you get each kid some popcorn or candy and a drink, that's another $10 each.  And you gotta get something for yourself.  So now you're looking at $80 for a movie.

For an extra $40, you can skip the movie, and take the family to the Mets game.

@Joe Wenzel  I paid 32 bucks saturday for my seat and sat maybe 10 seats from Bobby Abraeu's homerun. I don't know what the cheapest ticket was. I'm not gonna tell you how to spend your money though. Baseball is just one part of this complex world, and some people show up, and others don't. Both can find reasons, why or why not to.  I only meant to say, there are reasons to show up, for some of us.
