Boo-hoo, sniffle, sob. No d'Arnaud in the the line-up. Waah. Oops. They won without him!

My condolences to Brewers Jean Segura and his family on the death of his 9 month old son.

How bout Captain Kirk!? Batting .370 in 16 games since the call up. Solid in the field. Hopefully he turned the corner going back and forth between AAA and the big leagues. I'm pulling for this guy, and hope to see him stick around and be relevant the rest of the season.

Hate to take a break when we're so hot. All the calls and bounces are going are way. Every time we go into the break hot it seems like we take a U-turn when season resumes. Maybe the difference will we our depth and quality in the starting rotation, having the bullpen of a contending team and the suddenly adequate looking offense. Would like to see Lagares, Nuwenhuise and Granderson start regularly regardless of opponents starter. It gives you great D in the outfield and makes you stronger on the bench. When you constantly play the righty- lefty thing it usually leaves you with an imbalance on the bench. You have predominately lefties or righties on the bench whatever the case may be. Besides I would like to see what Captain Kirk can do vs lefties. Defensively and speed wise on the base paths he's head and shoulders above what you get from your other reserve outfielders.

Need to play him regularly for the rest of the season to see what we have. I'm far from sold on him, but he definitely warrants an extended look. I love the defensive combination of him in left and Legares in center.

@Kevin John I would feel very comfortable with a Kirk/Campbell platoon in LF the rest of the season, barring an improbable trade for an hr/rbi OF.

@sickofit Mets had a decent second 1/2 half last year until Byrd etc. left.

@sickofit Well he is not head and shoulders speedwise over EY obviously, but I agree with your point.
