I know what this team needs most is offense but does anyone else fantasize about having both denDecker and Legares in the outfield? We may be able to play a 5 man infield.

Nice to see denDecker getting a chance.  He certainly has the defensive tools to play in the Majors.  I think if he had more time to play regularly, he could easily reproduce Lagares' production at the plate.  Granted, he has shown a tendency to strike out a lot down in the minors, but sometimes those stats don't really relate to future performance.

den Dekker makes Grandy look like a straight up contact hitter, but he does possess a potential gold glove, decent speed and decent pop. what is the lowest he can hit/OBP to make himself an everyday player? .240/.300/.458?

that is a .758 OPS for a gold glove outfielder that can steal 20 bases, I think that would play. he has enough pop to slug .458, the question is about the first two numbers. hit that and only strikeout 25% and he can find a starting job somewhere in the majors

@joe21 Man if MDD can just be more consistent hitter, he would have a way better hitter than Lagares. I like Lagares and vouched for him since his days in AA and still want him to be the everyday CF, but MDD has a much stronger looking stroke - and if he just better himself at the plate, he can surprise. He and Lagares in the OF would be interesting.

FYI, the Flores link is going to the Dekker catch.
