denDekker's glove is wasted in LF and he will never have the kind of bat you want for a corner OF position.  Hopefully he shows enough offensively the rest of the season  that he becomes a trade asset.

Great play by Den Dekker. LF is all his since we are not going to sign or trade for anyone.

Same with SS. I hope Flores or Reynolds can turn out to be something too....payroll is going to be between 65 and 75 mil next season...we have to hope Den Dekker (27) and either Flores or Reynolds pan out....and once they trade Murphy either in the off-season or deadline next season, you hope Herrera can hit up here....

Mets may actually have an all home grown lineup next season with the exception of Granderson.

Truly amazing (and not in a great way)

It so funny and disheartening to see how the Mets brass do not see the correlation between their thrifty ways and win/losses.  They might not have won the World Series between 2005-2009, but they were in the hunt every year, Shea was packed and the Mets were relevant come September. Since the payroll has dropped to the mid 80's they have not had a winning season....hmmmm I wonder why?  This is New York, not Pittsburgh or Kansas City so the small market mentality does not sit well with the fans.

Let's trade everyone that struck out to Strasberg. He leads the league.

Trade Murphy? Who can he bring back?

@hankypanky Dont get me wrong..I dont want to trade Murphy but I feel this is the direction the team will go...low payroll affordable players with promise ...put them all together and hope for the best
