Vic Black unavailable Sunday

Vic Black is unavailable Sunday, Terry Collins said before the game.

Black threw 14 pitches in his inning of work on Saturday. He also pitched 2/3 of an inning on Friday.

This season, in 21 1/3 of an inning, Black has a 1.69 ERA and 1.313 WHIP.

What is wrong with Collins with all these declarations of who is playing, who isn't playing? The other team and press will know when the game starts. Collins needs to move on and become a vinyl siding salesman or something he's a terrible manager, the worse I've seen.

Collins is an idiot. Maybe put him at the end of the line but you can't say he's unavailable.

Maybe he's been traded.

You need deGrom to go 6/7 and then just give it to Torres, Familia, and Mejia I don't see the problem.

SO Black hasn't pitched an entire inning in three days, and he needs a day off?  Seriously?

I love Metsblog. A microcosm of America and our stupid youth.

How does it help the team to let everyone know this before the game?

@86street  It's like the managers want you to know ahead of time so people won't call them out during a game for not using somebody.  lol

@86street I never understand why teams do that, if he needs a rest great tell him and the team not the world.

@1harris1  it's either that or answer the question after the armchair managers raked you over the coals during the post game.
