Davis has cortisone shot, will rest for three more weeks

This afternoon at Citi Field, Ike Davis spoke with reporters and said he received a cortisone shot in his ankle, and will rest for an additional three weeks.

Davis said he felt a lot of pain in his ankle after running last weekend, and he received the cortisone shot soon after in North Carolina. He hopes the shot helps, but realizes he might be faced with season ending surgery.
