Travis d’Arnaud met with team doctors in New York today, and he will continue to wear a non-weight bearing boot for the next two weeks, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.
D’Arnaud broke the first metatarsal (the bone connected to the big toe) on his left foot on April 17.
Michael Baron, ContributorThat puts d’Arnaud’s recovery at about six weeks – that’s a minimum amount of time it typically takes for broken bones to heal. I assume he will need some time to rehab and build some strength back into his legs before he resumes playing, but hopefully within a month there will be a timeline defined as to when d’Arnaud is back on the field Las Vegas. My best guess is he will be back on the field around July 1, but hopefully it’s sooner than that.
