Travis d’Arnaud left Monday night’s game with a sore right shoulder after being struck by a foul ball by Hunter Pence.
“I’ll be all right,” d’Arnaud said after the game. “It smoked me in the shoulder, and then as the game progressed, it started tightening up a lot and was messing with my throwing and everything.”
Terry Collins said he made the decision to pull him from the game. He expects d’Arnaud will miss at least a couple of games.

Yes, I’m irrationally concerned about how often d’Arnaud is injured. I mean, I know this was a freak thing. But, whether an accident, or knee issues, or just the wear and tear of being an every-day catcher, I’m starting to associate Travis with missing time, and that’s a slight cause for concern growing forward.
