Travis d’Arnaud got his first big-league with with a double during Tuesday night’s game against the Braves.
“He’s had some good at-bats, but I know that one means a lot to him and I’m really glad he got it,” Terry Collins said of d’Arnaud, following the game.
According to the Star-Ledger, “The ball sat in his locker stall with a Post-it note that read: ‘Finally! Really, it took how long?’”
“Finally got it out of the way,” d’Arnaud said, according to ESPN New York. “Thankful my teammates were all there every time I kept coming to the dugout without a hit and they were all backing me up and what a wonderful feeling.”
