I said going into the year that this is clearly the worst roster they've had since 04. I didn't write off 90 wins, bc u never know what could happen. The same way their amazing 09 team completely fell apart, it was possible that this team can out together a solid season. But when the team loses games like this, with boneheaded coaching decisions left and right, u can see it's not gonna happen.

For all the talk about "EY" must play he's the spark...... The last two games proved that there's no spark. EY & CY should platoon. Lagares needs to play everyday.

What other franchise can kill the feel good stories of two rookie phenoms who sparkled in their home debut by getting shut out back to back nights and mustering a meager 6 hits

We need a manager who is gonna "Knock Some Skulls" in that club house after games like this. All TC ever says is "Yeah it was a little disappointing tonight".

On the other hand a real coach wouldn't take this job under Sandy & the Wilpons.

I was thinking of getting a CY and Duda jersey. I understand they are worthless and no one else has one

Our lineup is STACKED.  Move those f'n fences back to 625ft and watch every free-agent slugger sign here for free.

I'm still amazed  that Legares doesn't start in either of these games at home.  Granderson I can understand.  But now we're beholden to Chris Young?

And what happened to Flores?  He's called up to be the SS.  Hasn't been seen in a week.

This franchise is so poorly run it just never ceases to amaze.  Alderson with this "hunting strikes".  What BS.  Hunt for talent for a change.

Offense wont get better..they have no money....sucks that it is like this.....crappy owners....

This offense disgusts me. Hudgens and his hunting strikes bs has to go.

In post game, Bobby O and Bobby V both saying most teams play shift with 3rd baseman overlapped and playing second with SS staying put. TC insists on playing the shift and he can't even do that right! Let's not even talk about Lagares not being in center.

Its time to bring the walls in again like yankee stadium..seems like the only place the mets can hit is in a banding! Wright had a terrible game today! What kind of throw was that to first on that double play ball! My two year old daughter can throw harder! 14 strikeouts is unacceptable! If your not gonna fire Collins then this hitting coach needs to go!

I think their hitting philosophy is working.  They have such a good eye at the plate. Other than a small market team, who wouldn't take a walk over a HR?

They're OBP as a team should be over .400

Patience is a virtue.

1 - Lagares not starting ...i would've like to see the play on that soriano double if he's in the game

2 - 1st and 3rd, 1 out and EY pops out to SS

3 - 2 thru 6 hitters 11Ks

"and that's your ballgame"

The play of the night is the failed turning of the DP.  That lost the game for the Mets.

Folks they struck out 14 times. They got three hits. This loss is on the lineup.

this was frustrating! when we play with catcher who can't hit... tejeda who can't hit ... our best young player benched because we are paying $7mil to crappy outfielder. I can't deal with Terry anymore... whats the point in calling up players and make them sit on the bench!???!?! and David is just killing us uggghhhh!

Look at that replay, murphy lets it dribble like 5 times, thats crazy

Another scoreless streak. Maybe they can play deGrom at 3d base tomorrow.  They might score a run.

It is so damn hard to root for this team sometimes, when are we gonna change our hitting philosophy?

Will be interesting (or sad) to see when the Mets next score a run, particularly at home.

Nice job by deGrom against a superior line-up.

I absolutely hate that stadium.  Removed from it, the Mets are a completely different baseball team.

@JimmyFromDBX Colon, CY and Grandyman...could you imagine if you gave Billy Beane 30 Million to spend what he would do>

@moep And then to sit a kid whose been your best player because you promised this clown AB's?  Just criminal.

The Commish thinks the owners are great. The GM thinks the manager is doing an excellent job. We actually thought 90 was achievable with this offense. That is delusional to the 3rd power.

DON'T BE SLOPPY

@C.K. Dexter Haven If Lagares was in CF they don't send Mccann. Against CY who was slow to the ball and has a weak arm they had no reason not to send the heavy footed Mccann who scored with ease from first.

@barry David isn't the player he was a few years ago. Even his defense has fallen off.

@Macacawitz  Not the ballpark..This team can't manufacture hits into runs...Don't need to hit home runs all the time to score...

@hankypanky  It doesn't fester in the oppositions heads.  This place destroys good ballplayers.
