good job by the 7line tonight, the 10th man!

Terry just said he wants to "get the team fired" ... um, phrasing?

Wright made an excellent relay throw and hung in there..got to hand it to him

Familia should close but wasn't available tonight. Meija couldn't throw too much tonight. But they will be available starting probably tomorrow. That, I'm sure, was the only reason Farnsworth was in with the game on the line.

We need to bring the fences in a Citi Field similar to the Yankee Stadium dimensions.  It won't make the team any better, but I feel like the losses wouldn't be as frustrating if we can at least score some runs

So maybe that's the answer for the season..just burn through the minor league options.

and this thought that another poster mentioned makes me laugh:  move Wright  to SS and make Campbell the 3B....

Familia needs to be the closer now

Next call ups: Black, de Grom, Brown or Kirk

DFA: Valverde, Farnsworth, Abreu (the professional hitter)

Sadly, I bet TC sees this as Farnsworth getting the job done.

Way to battle, Mets!

d'arnaud scares me i think he needs to spend some time in triple A to get his act together and hitting right.

Montero and DeGrom up; Farnsworth and Valverde out.  Do it!

Nice job, Duda!  Now that he has the job, he's playing pretty well.  Certainly, he's showed some great D.  Mejia in the pen and the W.  A nice story.

Love it, but we need a real closer.

What a great game by everyone. Nothing to be negative about tonight!

Now that the shock has subsided- enough of Farnsworth as closer.  At least have a safety net and a short leash if you're going to continue rolling the dice.

Duda saved Farnsworth.  It was a hard hit ball.

And a great turn by Wright. We really need to get rid of him.

@Michelle Sparno He always says something stupid and the game winds up going in the opposite direction of his comments!!

@jonlga  Hope you're right, have seen enough of Farnsworth, time to give someone else a chance to close. With Mejia having thrown 102 pitches on Friday and gotten four outs in his first appearance out of the pen in a long time tonight, doubt he'll be available tomorrow (Tuesday) unfortunately.

@C.K. Dexter Haven  Although to be fair, it was nice to have a former shortstop on that last play to turn that double play with the shift on. I don't think many other third basemen in the league turn that.

@moep I think Mejia will eventually get the gig.  Going to ease him in, keep getting him in more high leverage spots until he takes over.

@Andrew Sodergren  cant, they need to leave for montero and degrom but same point lol

@Zach Ripple @C.K. Dexter Haven  the only reason it's not a bad idea is cuz you don't mess with the star of the team.  I'm a Tejada fan, but DW would play better then Rubin has CONSISTENTLY at SS, i'm sure of it.

@hawkeye @dv92  Yes I was... and what happened? THEY WON so take it for what it is. Damn some people will find anything to complain about.

Oh yes they have. All the time.

@dv92 @hawkeye

Had to get real lucky twice to get that double play.  How do you not see the lack of a closer as a negative?  You can't count on facing cripples and making amazing defense plays every night.
