d'Arnaud really looks like a totally different hitter. This is the guy we were hoping for. His confidence must be sky high right now. I'm not going to get to excited about this team yet, but they clearly have a better roster than the last several years when things fell apart. It starts with the pen. We haven't had solid late inning options in years.

I don't think Wright has been healthy in a while and down plays it, prob why he's having a down year

Unsung hero Lagares his ability to run down any ball in the outfield is why it was tied going into the 9th

That's a big win. When was the last time we caught a break like tonight. Street gets traded, doesn't pitch the 9th. No knock on Benoit, but I can't recall the Mets ever doing much with Street.

Not often that a Mets starter has a rough game....so when you win that game it's big...watch out

@Kyle Ely and Tejada in the hole with a strong throw, and Kirk with the quick grab and release.  All around great pitching and Defense in the late innings, LETS GO METS!

If we have a road trip there could be a decent turnout at Citi when they get back

@jenkins yes we do. But we do see Iwakuma who's pretty good and prized pitching prospect Walker, who's in the Syndergaard/Wheeler tier.

@eric88 It's awful silly to complain about this right after a close game win, but go ahead

If being captain is Wright, I don't wanna be wrong

Warthen said the same thing. People gave him a hard time for it. Mejia does belong in the pen. Warthen was adamant about the fact Mejia projected as a reliever.

Omar said he wanted Meija to be a starter. That was in 2010.

@imjimmybx too bad Omar almost ruined him

in a pathetic attempt to save his job no less

Yeah because he just got the Cortizone shot for fun.

@eric88 @Kyle Turck Its def hard to say because he always been streaky, but I think the severity of the shoulder injury and how long it has been there have been underplayed. IDK I could be wrong just a hunch I have based on his body language and throwing side arm.

M's are tough, but missing Felix is a big break. First things first. Let's get tomorrow's game.

@Kyle Turck @eric88 So as Captain he should go on the DL or move don in the lineup,  because hi is leaving RBI's out there. He hasn't hit all year but the shoulder has been more recent.

He wasn't driving the ball before or since. That's why I don't agree.
