the mets have held a lead in every game but 5 yet are only .500. there are more holes on this team than the titanic's hull.

I said it when the season started but was told I was stupid by several people here. The marlins are a better team than the mets. Plain and simple and only getting better. We will be fighting the phillies for last place.

what you need to know we need a SS and a 1B and bullpen and 1 or 2 starting pitchers and a new coach and a new owner and etc. etc .etc.

Why am I not surprised? And, in true tradition, they will do nothing to improve. Others try. The Mets stand pat and tell us to be patient. This will be the sixth year of being patient.

Won't be that bad if PHI, ATL and Nats loose too

It is early yet, but based on the sample so far it looks like Heymans prediction for the Mets is looking pretty well presented. As constituted, the team appears to have more holes than the other teams in the east. What is amazing is how Miami went out spent a kings ransome, realized it was a bad move, dumped all those players and is rebuilding with good starting pitching, a closer, better power and position talent. They have holes and don't fare well on the road, but they win at home and will improve away from Miami.

It is hard being a Met fan with a team of limited power, bullpen fails, with good starters, but a lack of position talent. Well, Thursday is the NFL draft, something I can look forward to...this just sucks.

If it wasn't for our offense, our defense and our pitching we'd be in trouble.

And that's how you close out a 3-0 lead

I'm not watching the game.  Did David "Mr. Clutch" Wright not come through again?

Shocking.

2 pitches down the middle doesn't move the bat and the one at his ankles he swings and misses

With wright, it has absolutely nothing to do with clutch or unclutch right now, it has everything to do with he hasn't been in a groove once this season.. he'll get hot eventually

Murphy is a pure hitter. Too bad we won't be able to afford him after this year.

It's pretty clear that the Marlins have been a far superior organization than the Mets since they came into existence.

So 74-56 the rest of the way is unlikely? Thanks Sandy, the future looks...bleak.
