Why do people say duda sucks or is awful. Looking at his numbers every year there not horrible at all. He's hit double digit homers every year in 400 or less abs and has put a very good obp. He's not great but to say he sucks or awful is totally wrong. Everyone is in love w Ike's 32 homers. Ike has been horrible the last 2 years he had 2 good months so relax with that. And to say Ike has a superior glove is a little misguided also. His defense was atrocious last year . Duda actually has been solid this year at first, he's scooped everything so far.

TC is answering questions . He said he is going to keep playing Granderson.

The problem with everyone who bashes wright is they put him on a pedestal with the likes of cabrera, trout, etc.. He's not on that level (they are immortal players), but is he one of the best 3rd baseman in the league? You bet your ass he is, and there is 25+ teams who would take him over what they currently have at 3rd base

To all D-Wright haters: he's put up 12 WAR the past 2 years, which ranks him in the top 5 position players

by the way I knew the mets were idiots trading davis

Now they have duda in there he sucks--/anytime u make a move to save 3 million in a major market u need to sell the team

Wright has many walk offs and the like. These haters are too annoying. And btw, I can't believe you people are accepting being shut out. Wainright this Wainright that, the offense is garbage.

Wright is not the Face of the Franchise.

The guy is the Face of Failure.

I hate Paula Piercings, but he said something before tonight's game that rings true about professional athletes. Being clutch is in your DNA. It's not something you buy at Walgreens or Costco. Wright obviously doesn't have that clutch gene.

here come the wright haters

David Wright, Mr. Clutch, yea right, does it again!

What is Wright complaining about. That's easily a strike, not even borderline. And no matter who hits cleanup for this team, they never seem able to come through.... Wainwright was terrific, but really annoying not to have either of your big hitters do anything respectable against a guy who was clearly struggling.

If you use the word troll, it's probably past your bedtime...

The Mets should make like Argent and "hold their heads up" because they fought well tonight. They should come back tomorrow with a fire against their next challenge in Wacha.

Look at the bright side. Grandy got a walk. Maybe he can manage a scratch hit by the weekend.

Setup being such a close minded dinosaur, all teams use advanced "SABERMORON" stats to analyze players. I guess that makes all teams' front offices "sabernerds" and you an idiot fan who won't even take the time to educate himself on even basic saber metric stats

It's the only thing to do, he's a vet, he's not a kid who needs a day to clear his thoughts, jsut keep throwing him out there until he turns it around, and if its june and he still is doing terrible then you assess

@Steven Glansberg  He's gutless, man. The dude doesn't have "it"....Jordany Valdespin has more late inning game changing homers and the dude wasn't even here a year.

That's all you need to know about Princess David.

Look at dudas number every years he does not suck. He never had a full season of abs playing a position he's comfortable with. 500+ abs playing first base, 25 and 75 w obp of 350 is a lock

Mike Dell Italia
Mike Dell Italia

I will guarentee he bats less then 250 and has less then 20 homeruns. Book it. I could even see him being sent to the minors at some point.

@Frank Accardi  Make excuses for him. He's been the same choke WITH Delgado and Beltran around him. If Wright had half a decent 2006 NLCS, the Mets beat the Cardinals.

7up17_2go
7up17_2go

@Zach Ripple  Wright has never proven he's "the man".  Good secondary player, but not the type of guy who could put a team on his back like Piazza......

JimmyBX182
JimmyBX182

@niesesnose  LMAO......Where were the SaberMORON stats in the 9th inning, toolshed? Is there a SaberBUFFOON stat which explains why Wright flops like a wet noodle in the clutch?

Just WHEN is Wright going to have another moment like he did against Kimbrel? He has one of those every 3 to 4 years.

Frank Accardi
Frank Accardi

The main problem with the 2006 mets was the mets were to cheap to strengthen the bull pen ..the cardinals had a stud in the bull pen

niesesnose
niesesnose

Or the pen, or Trachsel, or Heilmann. But nope, that wouldn't fit your narrative?

JimmyBX182
JimmyBX182

@niesesnose

LMFAO @ SaberMORON stats are used for nothing more than contract negotiations. "Advanced stats" are as valuable as used toilet paper. They mean NOTHING.

The only "GM" types who use them are the NERDS who play fantasy ball.

lmfao @ hitting .333 with RISP = another WORTHLESS stat. What's he hitting with the game on the line?  How about that stat? What's his success rate for tying or putting the Mets ahead in close games? Like tonight?

Wright doesn't have the STONES to make the team a winner when the game is on the line. That's his been his ENTIRE career.

niesesnose
niesesnose

Lol sabermorons. You're a moron if you think saber metrics are "STOOPID!!" Considering all teams use them. I guess that makes you smarter than all GMs in the majors.he's also hitting .333 in RISP situations this year z

JimmyBX182
JimmyBX182

@niesesnose  Here's something NEVER found by SaberMORONS and their fancy stats. NO ONE walks Wright late in games. Teams don't pitch around that CHOKE ARTIST. Guess why? They DON'T RESPECT him.

Normally in a spot like that, no pitcher will give A REAL STAR player a chance to hit one out to tie the game. They challenged Wright with fastballs down the middle and he did what he does best in those spots....NOTHING

SomeHighSchoolKid
SomeHighSchoolKid

Maybe because these cats where the ones who actually blew the games?

JimmyBX182
JimmyBX182

@niesesnose  Yeah, because those guys are the all-stars on the roster. Or hyped as "The Greatest Met Ever" (lmfao)

Please

Allot of guys aren't making 136 million!!!

7up17_2go
7up17_2go

@Zach Ripple @7up17_2go  Relax.  Wright is a good player, but unfortunately he is not the type of player who can carry an entire team when the team is slumping.  That is the comparison I was trying to make.

7up17_2go
7up17_2go

@SuperDuper  Piazza won a heck of lot more than he lost..., something to the tune of a .610 winning %.  David w/l record (of the teams he has been on is below .500.

SomeHighSchoolKid
SomeHighSchoolKid

David's almost got to his record. Both cases are with terrible supporting cast.
