I wanted C Young gone this Thursday and he starts hitting hrs  afraid Mets may give him a three yr deal .

Wheeler will grow from this. He will learn a lot more from a nasty loss than an easy win right now. As he develops he will remember games like this as a rare occurance and nothing more.

But damn, that A's team can hammer the ball.

mets have played the A's well this series

if d'arnaud can come back and hit, and chris young can find his stroke the mets offense can easily become middle of the pack especialy once lagares gets back

Familia's sinker just freaked out Coco. Nasty

chris young swinging the bat well, when lagares gets back i believe eric young will be the odd man out, TC can obviously do better, but considering the amount of injuries this team has had to its starting rotation, and the batting lineup, the mets are still playing decent ball overall. Once lagares and his .291 average gets back, the mets offense will have a much needed boost

@Jay Morgenthal its only been a year since he's come up but he doesn't seem to be what they thought he would be. also seems like he can't take the pressure in new york

Here here. If that granderson double play didn't happen you never know where that inning could've gone

Eric Young isn't going anywhere.

Pressure in NY? There were 2 drunks and a birthday party at the stadium tonight..maybe he gets lonely out there with no fans?

@cyrus @Jay Morgenthal you're all too impatient, Wheeler has a better era than Scherzer in first 32 starts... i wouldn't say Scherzer wasn't able to take the pressure of arizona

@jenkins i know that time right was doubled off on 2b, and the line out that flores had with the bases loaded mets could very much be winning this game

It'll be Nieuwenhuis. He's lefty and they have Abreu.

@Jake Polom no its cool, i can take the banter... but yeah, that was sad, salivary cancer due to chewing tobacco in his playing career

@January 12th It wouldn't happen if I was the manager but with TC who knows? He already went that way earlier in the season with Lagares being the odd man out and that was before CY started hitting

@theglider  Obviously Kirk will go down when Lagares is activated. I was talking about starting time. They'll be back to the 4 guys for 3 spots

@theglider good point, but with the power that chris young has shown, I think that he has to get the nod until he cools off at least, the man has 3 homeruns in the past two games

@Jake Polom very sad but he was one of the greats, on and off the field

@jenkins @January 12th  Well I don't think he'll platoon Grandy much anymore with the way he's turned things around. He'll be in there mostly everyday outside of a normal day off here and there perhaps against a really tough LHP. So it's really 3 guys for 2 spots. CY and Lagares will def play vs LHP however vs RHP will be much more up in the air. Plus you know TC will want to give Abreu a start in the OF like once a week or something. So it should be pretty crowded out there
