When will the Mets understand that they will never be a contending team with Daniel Murphy playing anywhere in the field. He stinks. His hitting has to be worth something so why don't they trade him to an AL team?

If the Mets play a game and no one is there to see it, does it count?

I'm sick of Ron Darling quoting how a pitcher should throw a ball or how his arm is in different than last time out, how his wrist is out of whack, or his leg comes up to high or how his arse sticks out too much.......sick of it.......the only thing i want to know about a player if he is  good or bad.

No but Murphy has been around a while now. He can't play defense! We don't know about the young guys yet. I'm with you with Flores but Murphy is a proven loser. So is David Wright!

No he's not. He came up as an outfielder and if you remember in the two collapses 4-5 years ago, he dropped a routine fly ball that blew a game in September.

He came up as a 3rd baseman  and the Mets tried him in left couldn t catch a ball . He's a DH plain and simple !

U realize he won a gold glove as an ofer that's no small feat. Love him as a pinch hitter club house guy but that rf in citi too big for him

Antonino Plaud

@barry He got to the balls to his right or left or front he was terrible going back and due his marvelous speed he got to the flyballs in air but was not a good outfielder his arm still is a cannon.

barry

I accept your apology Antonio Abreu used to have a cannon of an arm and played strong defense in Philly and yankees stadium both smaller parks. His fielding days are over

@barry Sorry Barry, he never was a terrific outfielder he changed many teams for being afraid of the fence, however he still can run and he can hit better this awful batters we have.
