Listen up here because I am irate that these Mets did not call up Abraham "the snoring Eskimo" Ilgauskus. How did this slip through the cracks? The "snoring Eskimo" was batting a ridiculous .005 with 4 rbis, 99 stolen bases, negative 14 cooler ranch sunflower seeds and a smooth 445.91 era. If Abraham wasn't called up than why was Josh "inappropriate DVD destroyer" Satin called up. If I'm not mistaken Josh is actually a mutated whole wheat nutrigrain bar disguised as a pro baseball man? I think that's true so Sandy "I enjoy Miley Sirus covers performed by Smashmouth" Alderson should reveal Josh Satin's true identity. Maybe he can hire Janet Jackson to spy on Joshy Poo putting on his baseball player disguise over his real (yet nutritious) nutrigrain body. However, I believe Janet will become very hungry. Subsequently, she will not be able to resist that delicious and healthy snack, rendering Janet Jackson useless in uncovering "the inappropriate DVD destroyer's actual identity. Extremely reminscient of the film Bad Boys 2 as Marshal Falk decides to quit his job as a milk man to become a soldier in the lady bug army as they try to eliminate their enemy foes, the locksmiths live in the Bronx, and in all honesty, are just great hardworking gentlemen. The locksmiths see Marshall Falk dressed as a lady bug holding a plastic laser beam he ordered from Toys R Us. They decide to call his grandma from the chunky soup commercials and check him into a kindergarten class where he can learn to practice his handstands in a more appropriate manner. What an inspiring masterpiece!! 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day, Mets fans.  I'm off to the beach.

I have a high tolerance for pain. My first Mets game was 7/30/69... DH vs Astros. Look it up. It was the day Gil Hodges walked out to pull Cleon Jones for jaking it. Was sitting in Mezz 1B side.

This losing ain't nothing but a thing...

I have to say that Flores actually played good at SS plus had production with the bat. That's what we need from him on a more consistent basis.

Brett Gardner has the same amount of home runs as Granderson. Try to process, Brett Gardner having more than most guys on our team. Granted, we've platooned many spots this year, but BRETT GARDNER? Since when has he been a speed and a power threat?

Does this mean the Muts are playing meaningful beisbol in September? Now that we're not in outright last place on 9/1/14?

I gots to know...

Hate to say it aloud, but this team has more spark without Murphy in the line-up.

@Tormented Mets Fan I think the more outrageous thing to process is how insanely easy it is to hit a HR in the bronx. CG 40+HR 2011/12 enter Citi, and now he is less than half the slugger. meanwhile Gardner is going to hit 20 or more thanks to the travesty they built in RF

Yeah but...Skankee Stadium RF porch is like 300'. Of course that doesn't explain Grandy's .210 BA...

@Söze, Keyser ...Ask the question again tomorrow when September begins. Our Metsies are playing baseball but not so meaningful, at this point.

@Doubleday Sandy isn't going to pay top dollar for Murph's services...which is funny considering he's asking top dollar for him in trade.  The tricky bit is in order to get a possible draft pick, he's gotta make a qualifying offer.  But what if Murph takes it?

Joe Paulson

@Doubleday how has Dils being in the line-up spark things up? Murphy has hit well this year.

I really think murphy is gone, they better get a pretty penny in return

@Joe Paulson @Doubleday I dont know.  Maybe it's because we've had some great D lately.

@kingsword1 Having Mike Trout would be lovely. So did you spend a lot of time working out that trade? It's very clever. Who would be so stupid as to not ship off the best player in MLB for FA bust, a bargain LH middle rotation SP, and cash. How much cash? 65 million?

Who would you send to Miami for Stanton? I think that a package of Tejada, Abreu, Kirk, dice-K, and an a box of toenail clippings is a fair exchange.

C.K. Dexter Haven
C.K. Dexter Haven

@Doubleday @C.K. Dexter Haven That's what makes it tricky...they couldn't trade him at a lower price...twice.  Last off season, and then for the deadline.  He's at $5.7Mil now...QO...$8Mil?  How do they sign and trade that?

You can't let him walk that would be a killer

@Tormented Mets Fan  double day should be banned from this site... one rbi one win anybody know how many game winning hits or huge series or game changing plays murphys made this play alone..... unbelievable

C.K. Dexter Haven
C.K. Dexter Haven

@matmil no idea.  So then lower your demands...ok, but then my question would be why go through the song and dance just for some lower level prospects?  To save face and not lose him for nothing?  Then Sandy should've done that 5 weeks ago.
