8 and 9 are automatic outs now. Was going to buy tickets to the opener, but since the FO thinks Tejada is enough, I won't be going to the game. I usually buy decent tickets too...but why should I give them money that they won't use?

As much as I like Lagares in the field, this lineup is my favorite in terms of pure offense, and I don't think it's bad defensively either. I could very easily see this being the starting lineup to begin the season, with one of the Youngs getting phased out when they struggle offensively and then Lagares getting to play everyday. But this is clearly the best offensive lineup this team can put out there.

Start lagares in center and bat him leadoff. Don't wanna see tejada batting leadoff and I feel like the mets need c young in the middle of the lineup. I strongly believe that lagares will hit and he will serve as a solid center fielder for years to come

Get back on the bench, Juan! What do you think you're doing?

If this guy isn't starting CF on opening day, then this organization is more clueless than I thought.

I'd take Seratelli as a backup over Q as they both play about equal def and Seratelli actually has some speed off the bench if needed, whereas Q is only an average defender, doesn't hit, and isn't fast. If neither hits and both play average def at least Seratelli has another useful tool for the team. Q doesn't bring anything...

I love how a guy gets picked off first and gets fist pumps in the dugout...

The apathy on this blog is pretty consistent with the apathy of Mets fans.  I remember when spring training games would generate 800 posts.  I know it is the middle of the day, during the work week, but Met fans have really disappeared....

"Young down on strikes"....we'll hear that 150 times this year......

" Granderson down on strikes"....  We'll be hearing that 174 times this year.

@Zach Ripple  No its not your missing Flores in the lineup over Tejada and then maybe its the best offensive lineup

@crafalko17 Not saying your wrong but fans are going nuts when we judge Wheeler and Travis D on a small sample. But after 25 innings with maybe 15 chances you could have seen you can judge Seratelli?

@ponzies86  He cant even play 2nd he was released he isn't good. Only Met fans are scanning waiver wires to find the next Mike Baxter.

@72tilltc @crafalko17Well, it's more than we have seen a lot of Q and what he brings. Not like I am saying he'll be a great player or anything. Just he's like Q with speed which at least adds another facet to the team is all. Don't need to see him many times to see he is fast. Ya know?

@72tilltc @ponzies86

only has to play well enough to finish out a game if Tejada is hurt, until a real SS comes from Vegas.  Ridiculous to waste a roster spot on Q ... lose Brown's bat over this guy?

ponzies86

@72tilltc @ponzies86  I said IF he can play SS I would much rather see Eric Young Jr in the lineup then a dreadful Tejada

@crafalko17 @72tilltc  Hey If you saw it Im in. Just saying question Travis and Wheeler and it is all about scouting ranking etc.

ponzies86

@72tilltc @ponzies86  It doesn't matter Eric Young Jr would give you a hell alot more then a slow tejada, If He can play the position like an average SS I'll take that.
