Haha, Ike, Duda, and Tejada are making TC and the front office look smart, today.

Ike and Duda always have productive springs when they are on the field. We can't get excited until that production actually translates into games that effect our standings.

Well hit second double by Davis? I saw the one he hit in the first and I could not help thinking Lagares would've gotten to it.

Can the Twins use a DH? Duda would fit that bill very nicely. How about Houston. They've been working on collecting young talent. Do they have a SS available?

I'd like to thank the Twins for using their best batting practice pitchers in today's game. They put the ball right where the Mets batters requested it

Funny how Duda and Davis look good when competing against one another.  May be able to trade one of them after all.

I feel bad for Joe Mauer. He is on an awful team.

I want Lagares to start when everyday but his batting should improve even though he has GG caliber defense.

The team could benefit from both EY can lead off and is super fast or Lagares is a great defender it's a good problem to have them fighting for CF because in order to keep their starting spot whomever wins it that is they have to perform the whole year

Same with Davis and Duda the minute one stops hitting the other can come in and take over til the starter finds his swing

Anyone who gets to the majors is in the top something like .00001% of baseball players in the US, not including international guys also..

But when your looking at that top .00001-.000009999999999999% the margin of error is MASSIVE. That little bit is the difference between Omar Quintinilla and David Wright.

@Thomas McKeever @Zach Goeringer @Steven Matregrano @Mark Kelly Very small sample. He's gotten a hold of a few balls from pitchers who are still trying to find their stuff. Satin is guy who has been an artist at getting on base at every single level and who specializes in hitting lefties. If Campbell tears apart Vegas I'm all for bringing him right up.

Yes 30 home runs when you hit .211 and get on base .308 and only slug .456.

You realize he was still 15 in MLB 1st basemen in slugging that year you know because he couldn't hit. wRC+ he was 16th.

Yes he can hit the ball a long way, if he makes contact... And that was 2 years ago.

I don't have a long leash for him this year if he starting.

There are a lot of excuses given to Ike for being a pathetically bad player the last 2 years, because he had a nice half season in 2012 and hit 30 HR's.

Its pretty amazing to me actually. And even in that season, he wasn't very good overall as an offensive player.

@Thomas McKeever @Steven Matregrano @Zach Goeringer Believe me guys I've gotten excited each of the last two springs and each time opening day came and they both forgot how to play baseball. Davis two years ago had a second half where he was one of the best power hitters in baseball, but unfortunately for a season and a half he has been arguably the worst hitter in baseball. So 75% percent of his career he's been a train wreck. Nobody wants to be more wrong than I do, but I've been fooled before and I'll need to see a lot more to get excited.

WHy does it matter. It really shouldn't be  a guy who can't get on base more than .318.

I's much rather keep as much OBP and POP in the lineup as possible, and have the best defense up the middle. That takes EYJ to the bench..

I don't dislike EYJ, just dislike giving him 400+ ab's because he can run fast.

I don't count Lagaras's numbers in spring. I count the TONS of numbers from EYJ to say he shouldn't be playing every day.

EYJ CANNOT leadoff. He had a .318 OBP

If you look at comprehensive  stats  like OPS+ EYJ was Marginally better (still WELL BELOW AVERAGE) offensively.  EYJ Had an 85 and  Lagaras an 80.

When you add in defense Lagaras provided way more value to the team than EYJ, who i like as a 4th outfielder... just not a starting every day player.
