It's a good thing we didn't take a shot on José Abreu.

Gee all the sudden with the sub-3.00 ERA. Amazing turnaround. This staff has been as good as advertised, and that's without Thor or Montero.

for all the Duda haters..Ike now at .200 even

The lineup I want to see is when lagares is healthy is lagares, Murphy, wright, duda, c. Young, Granderson, d'Arnaud, tejada

Man if it wasn't for that one bad inning by Mejia we would be 15-10 right now

Mets need to split their next 2 games to finish the month 15-12 ... or, basically, a 90 win pace for the season.

OBP, BA, some speed, little power . Mets should move Wright to leadoff, followed by Grandy, Murphy, Duda, CY,TD, Legares, SS. Better lineup. Leadoff, he would see lots of fastballs.

Just saw Colon walk down the runway with a big smile.  I wonder what size that hoodie is?

@Zach Ripple I think both Montero and  deGrom will be the 1st to be brought up. They have more time in Vegas at this point and deGrom is pitching better than all of them.  He is 3 = 0 with a 1.93 era where Montero is 3 -0 with a 3.95 ERA.

Davis was 0 for 3 yesterday, plus a walk. Still struggling.

@fuldsadick Davis Sucks, but you will never get an apology from anyone who dumped on Duda here, no matter how much better Duda hits than him this year.

@Bernardo Antonio Flores  I agree completely. If you have EY in the lineup over C. Young, he leads off with Lagares batting second, and everyone moves back a spot, with Murphy third and Wright cleanup.

@eric88 If Collin's put Wright in the lead off position then it would confirm that he is Senile

@stage52 @Zach Ripple deGrom in an interesting case. He's pitching lights out, and at Las Vegas, where pitchers go to die. He's not supposed to be anywhere near Thor or Montero but he is looking good so far in this young season.

@stage52 @Zach Ripple  That may be true, but I don't get the impression that DeGrom is truly on their level. Maybe he proves me wrong in the long-term, but my guess is Thor and Montero have the better careers. But DeGrom is definitely interesting and would probably be nice to come up the bullpen to begin.

@openmind6 @fuldsadick guys like Ike are a dime a dozen, thats why Sandy couldnt get anything for him in the offseason...Mike Jacobs also had a 32 hr year..he plays for Reno now..Brandon Allen, Matt Clark, Allen Dykstra are all power hitting 1b in the Mets system that may never again see the majors...plenty of power hitters with holes in their swing, just ask Mike Hessman and Val Pascucci

@openmind6 @fuldsadick  I was an Ike supporter heading into the season, but I was dead wrong. Duda's swing is far more slump-proof and more contact oriented. He likely won't become an elite power hitter, but he'll be a league-average first baseman. His defense has been surprisingly smooth as well, maybe even better than Ike. He's certainly more mobile.

@openmind6 @Macacawitz  If the Cirque du Soleil tent gets damaged in a wind storm they can always hold the circus in one of Colon's hoodies.  (It's thinking like this that kept me out of the good schools.)
