Pitching doesn't have any margin of error with the way this offense has been going

We coulda, we shoulda, if only we hadda, ....But alas we didn't. So we are the definition of "You are what your record says you are". That's all this team is right now. A sub .500 team with no punch

So the Mets finish 1-6 vs the Giants  when they should have been 5-2. Definition of a sub-.500 team.

6 games under .500. So lets quit talking about a Wild Card race until they reach .500.

Can't lose 3 of 4 at home to a wild card "rival" in August.  NY Mets 2014 Season RIP August 4, 2014

OK.  So now it is time for Sandy to publicly acknowledge the season is over and figure out how to trade Colon, cut Young and Young and Abreu and stop playing Tejada.

Instead of running out of the dugout to start the game, the Mets should run out of a clown car.

I love how this comment is pending. Shows you all you need to know about why some people are able to erase comments on here and the rest can't. Once you talk about them, you get a warning. Yet, the people I was referring to aren't affiliated with this site? Please! If these two q idiots were anyone else they'd be banned. Say hello to Matt's cousins..or whatever the hell they are

We would have won if the bullpen didn't give up two runs in the last three innings.

@Doubleday Or a left fielder that didn't hit .208, or a right fielder that didn't hit .220, or a catcher that didn't hit .200.

You mean Chris Young?

@sandybgone The only hope is that the Wilpons realize that Sandy is making all these loser GM's rich as assistants and cares nothing about the team. Jim Duquette yesterday Pence is a top 10 player he isnt even a top 10 outfielder.

@Eric Vierow @nym68 the whole team was hitting before the break. Wright was pulling and hitting shots.  We knew it wouldn't last.

nym68

@Eric Vierow @nym68 me neither. Someone joked on here the other day about Wright and steroids and I got to thinking.. he hasn't been the same guy since the drug policy changes. Sure, he's had some hits, but nut that many. It's looking more and more like "Citi Field is too big' was an excuse for a guy who needs greenies or a dosage

@theglider We would have won if we scored more runs than the opposing team.

Nonsense. Power numbers down across all of MLB. If Wright hadn't aged, had a stress fracture in his back, and moved to Citifield maybe one could judge better. There are so many reasons why his power could have gone down. He said in 2012, that after back injury he had to lighten up on strength training. Right now, with shoulder injury he probably can't train at all. Hit 21 HR in 2012 and 18 in 110 games last year. Did anyone notice Duda has more HR than Miggy?

Now my comment makes no sense.
