Thursday’s minor league recaps…

B-Mets leadoff hitter Kyle Johnson homered twice, pushing the team to an extra inning win in New Britain. The 24-year-old opened the game with his third bomb of the campaign, which was followed moments later by Dilson Herrera going yard for the second time in double-A and fourth time overall this season. In the 9th inning, Johnson started the frame with another solo shot to put the B-Mets ahead for good.

Where are all the fans who wanted to rush Plawecki up to MLB from AA now that he's hitting .087 in AAA in a hitter's haven?

Maybe Johnson is our next real power bat of the future.


Still a bit away but who knows,sounds like he has some serious power.

Wilmer batted 3rd and DH'd - went 1-4 with a HR and 3 RBI.  When was the last time we had someone in the middle of the order who could deliver that blow and still bat .315?

Savannah is death for power hitters, St Lucie not so much.
