Thursday’s minor league recaps…

Mets top prospect Noah Syndergaard made his first start since appearing in the MLB Futures Game Sunday and had a tough time from the get-go. The 21-year-old gave up three runs in the 1st inning, two in the 2nd and two more in the 5th before being pulled.

The seven earned runs are the most he’s surrendered in a start since 8/26/13 when he gave up nine while pitching for Double-A Binghamton.
