As long as they keep the likes of CY, EY JR, ABREU, DUDA and TEJADA...this team will continue to stink...DUDA is a bit more tolerable, but he still doesn't get the big hits with runners on.

Yes, Duda sucks alright--as some "fans" have said. Yeah, right. I wanted to see how Duda has batted since Davis was traded on April 18. I looked only at games he started. Since April 18, he has batted .264. There has been steady improvement: April (.242) May (.240) June (.271) and July (.295). He has been particular effective when hitting cleanup (21-64/.328). He has had two periods in June and July where he batted cleanup: June 21-28 (7-20/.350) and July 6-24 (14-44/.318). In those 18 games, he has hits in 15 games. Anyone who thinks he can't hit for power at this point is a complete moron. Duda has now shown he is entirely capable of hitting 25-30 HRs a year. I believe that in the starting role for a full season he will certainly drive in 80-100 runs.

Duda had a useless homerun as is the case with him

On July 2, Sandy Alderson suggested in an interview that the Mets were more talented than their win-loss record showed, pointing to the team's net runs scored over runs allowed as evidence.  Since the interview, the Mets are 11-7, a .611 winning percentage.

Half of Duda's homers this season have been hit with the game either tied or with the Mets one run up or one run down

The average homer in the majors this season has produced 1.58 RBIs.  Duda's home runs this season have produced an average of 1.625 RBIs.
