Philip Kossoy here...I have been talking about Arroyo for 2 months!  He's a quality starter who has a nice WHIP and is extremely durable!  He did well in Boston years ago and I bet he'd do well here in NY.  I say go for it! 3 Yrs $39 Million. Done!

Everyone keep Scott Atchison in your thoughts today.  He's having elective surgery.  They're cutting him open to count his rings to determine how old he really is.

Arroyo and any other player would be interested in signing with the Mets as long as the price is right.

Since we're all big timers now with the money spending, forget Arroyo. Tanaka, Ubaldo, E. Santan, or Garza...in that order.

I couldn't be any more surprised if I woke up on Christmas morning and found my eyebrows sewn to the carpet.

Do you think there is ANY shot that the Mets could trade for Reyes?  Do they Jays have any needs? This would be a completely different team with him...

Man, those that didn't use facebook previously (mostly everyone besides me) will all now have different names?  I guess it won't be too difficult as to who's who based on the tone of each comment though...

Arroyo is totally out of the mets price range now. No sense in even discussing him anymore.

Hate the new comment section. Might be on my way to MMO, my favorite part of MetsBlog was reading the comments..

@ClarkGriswold I have to say that you are the funniest, most clever contributor to this otherwise worthless blog.  I stand in awe of your comedic genius.

Think Ubaldo is an interesting one. He'll probably end up with a 4 or 5 year deal though. If Feldman and Hughes got 3, someone might bite on a longer term for Jimenez.

@dumdeeduda I think you have minutes to edit your post. But not completely sure about that.

@rico Amazin' Avenue & Rising Apple are solid. Best prose by far: Faith & Fear in Flushing. But none contain the near-lunatic, almost-suicidal fringe that can make Metsblog somewhat entertaining (if you're in the mood).

@rico The Bitter Bill, NY Daily News.  roughly 150 comments per post.  Nice diversity.  Some have faith, some don't, some just rip the FO, but eveybody loves the NYM with a passion.

Yep, nothing like mentioning it a month ago and then just roll it out without warning.

Have you been taking lessons from the Cerrone school of writing?  the Rays get Hak Ju Lee and the Mets get Hak Ju Lee as well?

Why on earth would the Rays trade Zobrist?

@number6 I didn't like it at first, but I like it now.  Maybe it's just my computer(MAC) but these comments refresh without having to do anything.  I like that, just wish I had my old name back.

@dumdeeduda Give him 4 or 5. That solidifies your rotation for this year and moves Montero, Syndergaard, and deGrom to AAA, which only benefits the organization because that gives time more time to develop and gives us more options.

@bobbysf @dumdeeduda Yeah, while you're typing your post and hit post, a little message pops up that you have 5 minutes to edit it.

@Brent Terry That's non inclusive of the fact that it'd be an absolute heist to get Price for that kind of deal.

@hank that's so irresponsible. 5 years? this guy doesn't warrant 5 years worth of trust at this point from anyone. he's 36. how can you guarantee him money to pitch for your team as a 41 year old?

I'm not thrilled with this set up. I've had some longer debates with fellow posters that i think will be lost. Threads have been kept alive for days. It's fun.
